The Georgia ACRE Collective

The Georgia ACRE Collective works to advance agriculture, community, resilience and equity through values-based procurement. Funded by The Rockefeller Foundation, this Georgia-based initiative centers on garnering purchasing commitments from Atlanta-area anchor institutions, while shifting procurement to producers that share the institutions’ values. The purchasing power of these Atlanta institutions creates economic opportunity for sustainably grown food produced by Black farmers, women farmers and others historically excluded from wholesale markets.

For more information, visit The Georgia ACRE Collective landing page, or contact The Georgia ACRE Collective Project Manager, Emily Hennessee at emily@thecommonmarket.org.

Community Farm Stands

A farm stand is a temporary, on-site set up of fresh local foods for sale at your hospital, school or community organization. The Common Market Farm Stand is a completely flexible program where you can choose when your farm stand runs, how often, and what local products are best suited for your community members.

The Common Market Farm Stand program can:

• Help your organization plan and organize an on-site farm stand

• Supply seasonal ordering and pricing tips and promotional materials to get the word out

• Deliver fresh, sustainable, local products directly to your location!

Fruit and Vegetable Prescription Program

Canewater Farm Potatoes

As a partner in Wholesome Wave Georgia's Fruit and Vegetable Prescription Program (FVRx), The Common Market Southeast is helping to incorporate local food into a unique, multifaceted intervention that changes the way we approach health, medicine, and nutrition.

Through the FVRx, doctors provide participants with prescriptions for weekly shares of fresh produce at Grady Hospital. The evidence-based food-as-medicine model provides affordable access to healthful foods to prevent and treat chronic diet-related illnesses, all while supporting sustainable food systems.

Georgia Grown

The Common Market Southeast is a proud Member of Georgia Grown. The program, powered by the Georgia Department of Agriculture, is desired by business and consumers who want to buy and promote Georgia’s locally grown products.
