Delivering local food for the common good.
The Common Market Great Lakes partners with farmers who share our commitment to sustainability and transparency. We purchase directly from producers within 400 miles of our Chicago warehouse, including: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin.
Our Common Market Great Lakes procurement team provides technical assistance to help scale the capacity of small and beginning farms. Through close collaboration with our producers, we develop new products to meet the demands of our institutional customers.
All of our produce farmers are working towards certification in Good Agricultural Practices (GAP).

"The Common Market Texas is bringing critical support to our region of small farmers! Without [them], businesses like ours would have fewer options for growth. As a grower for and customer of The Common Market, the benefits of this organization's work is clear. They are creating greater and meaningful access to fresh, local food."
— Daniella Lewis, Plant It Forward Farms
